How to Remove Pet Odors, What can I do to get pet odor out of the carpets?

Even for those who are passionate about cat or dog, there is one thing that can be quite annoying: the smell of pee on the carpet or upholstery at home. And this strong odor can end up becoming part of the environment if the pet owner doesn’t do something. Sometimes trying to clean with some liquid, we add moisture and the carpet ends worse. If this is your case, do not worry. The good news is that, with pet odor removal product, it is possible to get rid of this smell.

How this product works?

There is no dog in this world that does not love taking long naps on the carpet, but its peculiar “smell” and the odd accident, make that carpeted and comfortable space in a place with strange smells. More than removing the smell, this solution also serves as a pet disinfectant for the place. So it’s not just a scent. And, for those who have children at home, it counts a lot. Once the mixture is ready, with a regular brush, just spread the product over the affected area.

Your allies: baking soda and vacuum cleaner

These two ingredients are just what you need for this job. Vacuum the carpet to remove all dust, fiber debris, pet hair, etc. It has to be completely clean to proceed to the next step. Spread the baking soda all over the mat. To perfume it, add a few drops of essential oil to the baking soda before spilling it on the carpet. Let the mixture work for at least three hours, the longer you leave it the more odors it will absorb. Then vacuum again and remove all the baking soda.

What if my pet had a “liquid” accident?

If they are puppies or very old we will not be able to run away from urine on the carpet, but do not worry that the bicarbonate also works at the moment. Dry the fresh urine stains with a clean cloth. Absorb as much of the carpet as you can before cleaning. Use a clean cloth or several pieces of absorbent paper to tap the carpet and absorb the liquid. Create a vinegar and baking soda solution. Combine 2 cups (500 ml) of white vinegar, 2 cups (500 ml) of warm water and 4 tablespoons (60 ml) of baking soda and pour it into a spray bottle. Spray a good amount of the mixture on the urine stains on the carpet and let it sit for 5 minutes.
